Dr. Jason Curry Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Dr. Curry is an interventional physiatrist (also known as Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) who specializes primarily in non-surgical approaches for the treatment of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine pain, as well as musculoskeletal disorders and joint pain. As a physiatrist, his primary treatment goal is to help restore physical function and activities of daily living, thereby improving the quality of life of his patients. Having the opportunity to increase a patient’s quality of life was the deciding factor for choosing his specialty. He has extensive fellowship training in interventions including epidural injections, facet injections, nerve blocks, peripheral joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, sacroiliac joint injections, and spinal cord stimulator neuromodulation. He also performs electromyography and nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCS).
Dr. Curry is originally from Charleston, South Carolina. Upon enlisting in the United States Navy, he was initially stationed in San Diego and immediately felt drawn to the charm of the city; he considers San Diego one of the greatest cities in the country. Following military service, he returned to South Carolina where he attended the College of Charleston for undergraduate studies. He attained his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina.
He completed both his internship and residency training in PM&R at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC where he was appointed Chief Resident of his department and also presented with his department’s EMG Academic Award. He then further specialized by completing a PM&R Interventional Spine Medicine Fellowship at the highly-regarded University of California, Los Angeles, Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
He is Board Certified through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
In his spare time, Dr. Curry enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, staying active in the community, and traveling.

Dr. Curry's Reviews
This review is for Dr. Jason Curry only, I have found my 'go-to' injection specialist. Only took about a minute, hardly any discomfort, and I was done. The whole group at North County Surgery Center were AMAZING from start to finish. Checked in, sat for 10 minutes, got my BP done, then went to a room; then Dr. Curry came in to discuss options. I chose not to have sedation and glad I did. Went to the procedure room, probably was in there 10 minutes. Then to the recovery area where they served me juice and a muffin and a warm blanket. I felt like Queen for the day. Thanks so much Dr. Curry for your expertise
